Le Corbusier referred to his LC2 and LC3 European Retro Furniture collections as "cushion baskets" which he designed in 1928 as a 
modernist response to the traditional Italian club chair.
 
With cushions held in place without being tethered to the chrome tubular frame, the simple idea was to offer all the comfort of a 
generous padded surface while applying the elegant minimalism and industrial design rationale of the International Modernism Style.
 
The resulting aesthetic look of the simple tubular structure is remarkably relevant to how we exist today, three-quarters of a century

The basic differences among the groups are that the Le Corbusier LC2 is more compactly scaled down, and the LC3 has down-wrapped cushions that
